Gmail down for few hours

據《MarketWatch》報導，美國時間星期二 (1日) 數名使用者上網抱怨有數小時無法登入 Google (GOOG- US；谷歌) 的 Gmail 電子信箱，而且 Google 的 Apps Status 註冊頁面服務也斷線，因此沒有提供進一步的 解釋。而到台灣時間凌晨 5 點 37 分，Google 的官方網 站上才有訊息表示，Google 已經修復了問題，Gmail 已可照常服務。

Google 人員表示，服務中斷的原因尚在調查中。

Google 發言人沒有立即對此事件做出回應。

Gmail 上一次出現大當機是在今 (2009) 年 2 月， 當時 Google 表示是由於「例行維修事件」造成 Google 在歐洲的數據中心過載。

這次的事件凸顯出所謂「雲端科技」的內在風險。 雲端科技提供可將業務內容存取在網路上的服務，如此 一來，就無須再將業務資訊儲存再電腦裡。而 Google 被視為雲端科技的先驅。

Google 的 Gmail 除了提供消費者免費的服務以外 ，同時也是 Goolge 應用程式服務 (包含雲端科技) 重 要的一環，Google 以收費的方式提供企業和機構使用。
